Guests arrived and mingled. Coffee, tea, and snacks were available. There was an optional name tag activity with the prompt: “Show, don’t tell — draw your creative path or identity.”
The event began with a land acknowledgment, an introduction to the venue, an overview of the day, and a sharing of intentions.
An extended panel with creatives on nonlinear careers took place, including a Q&A session.
Artists and curators discussed process, collaboration, and sustaining their practice, including a Q&A session.
A relaxed, hands-on session allowed participants to connect with fellow creatives, reflect on what inspired them, share their ideas, and explore what was next in their practice. They left with a personal take-home worksheet to keep the momentum going.
Light refreshments and food were provided.
The event concluded with thank-yous and a sharing of highlights from the day.
Attendees celebrated with music, drinks, and good company, and enjoyed a few surprises throughout the evening.
